ABOUT OUR CLUB

Chartered in 1971, the Ontario Paint Horse Club offers something for everyone!

The aim of the Ontario Paint Horse Club is to promote and enjoy the American Paint Horse, whether in the show ring, on the trails, or simply at home in the backyard. We strive to maintain an enthusiastic, family-oriented club atmosphere suitable to encourage high moral character and sportsmanship among our members, and to develop the capabilities of our Youth and Amateurs in the breeding, raising and exhibiting of Paint horses.

For 2024, OPHC is proud to offer 5 multi-judged, multi-day shows. We offer APHA-approved classes in the Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Youth 18 & Under, Youth 13 & Under, Novice Youth, Youth Walk Trot and Amateur Walk Trot. For our Solid Paint Bred exhibitors, we also offer Open, Amateur and Youth classes.

As well as earning APHA points, OPHC members can earn club points and are eligible for High Point All Around Day awards at each show as well as Year End High Point and Reserve High Point class & division awards. Four of our shows will be held at the world-class indoor facility at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Ancaster, ON. We are pleased to offer a 5th show at Saddlewood Equestrian Centre in Bethany, ON.

A full range of Non Pro All Breed classes will be offered at every show in 2024 and our popular All-Breed Stakes classes will run again in September 2024. In July 2024, we will be hosting the 2nd Annual Ontario Provincial Paint Horse Showdown - come out & win a buckle! There are special events at every show! We invite all new & returning members to join us for another exciting, fun & rewarding year with the Ontario Paint Horse Club!
